This privacy policy governs your use of the software application PileTrac Logger (referred to as the "App"), created by the developer. The App is a utility tool designed to measure the blow rate and stroke height of pile-driving hammers using real-time audio analysis.
We believe in complete transparency and user privacy. Because PileTrac Logger operates entirely locally on your mobile device, we do not collect, process, transmit, or store any personal data.
Permissions & Usage
To function correctly, the App requires specific system permissions on your mobile device. Here is why they are needed and how they are used:
- Microphone Access (RECORD_AUDIO): Used to stream audio input for real-time blow rate and stroke height analysis. We do not record, save, or transmit any audio files. All sound analysis happens entirely in-memory and is discarded immediately after processing.
- Storage Access (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used to allow you to save and export generated hammer stroke log reports as PDF files to your device's storage (e.g., Downloads folder).
No Collection or Transmission of Information
When you use the App, we do not gather any information, personal or technical. Specifically:
- No registration, login, or accounts are required.
- No name, email address, or device identifier is collected.
- No location data (GPS or IP-based) is requested or tracked.
- No automated crash reporting or analytical SDKs are integrated.
Note on Sharing: If you choose to share your log reports (PDF) using the Share functionality within the App, this is initiated solely by your manual action and utilizes the standard Android or iOS system share sheet to send the file to your designated target (e.g., Email, Messaging apps).
Children's Privacy
Because the App does not collect any personal data or transmit any information, it does not knowingly collect or request information from children under the age of 13.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the bottom of this page. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
